Stefan Gec is an artist whose work has been gaining critical acclaim with his site-specific installations across North America and Europe. Drawing on his Ukrainain heritage, Gec's work primarily deals with issues of migration and displacement, using the sea as a metaphor to reflect on political concerns and questions. In post Cold War Europe, Ge draws on the now obselete symboles of destruction, such as nuclear submarines, to create new, poetic structures.
