These three volumes illustrate Chinese jades in the collection of the Palace Museum, Beijing. Book I examines jades from the Longshan, Songze, Hanshan, and Liangzhu cultures, Shang, Western and Eastern Zhou, Spring and Autumn, Warring States, Han, Wei, Jin and Northern and Southern dynasties. Book II covers the Tang, Liao, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties. Book III is exclusively devoted to the splendor of jades from the Qing court, including jade tributes and buddhist articles, jade imitation of archaic shapes, jade stationery, and Hindustani jades.
