Lesage, Albert -- Lesage, François.
摘要:This book briefly reviews developments in dress as seen through embroidery from prehistory to the late nineteenth century, then traces its uses in haute couture from the advent of Charles Frederick Worth to Paul Poiret. Albert and Marie-Louise Lesage took over in 1924 from an embroiderer who had started with Worth. The author discloses the working of this unique embroidery house from the moment a design is conceived until the finished piece emerges on a gown in a parade on a great designer's runway.
