Photography book of 1940s-1970s dance of and by Tsai Jui Yueh (1921-2005). Regarded as the 'mother of modern dance in Taiwan', Tsai first studied professionally under Baku and Midori Ishii in Japan. She returned to Taiwan after World War II and started the first dance school in Tainan. She married Indonesian-Chinese poet Lei Shih-yu and moved to Taipei. Both suffered from government persecution, Lei deported and Tsai imprisoned on Green Island.
