摘要:Ernestine Stodelle, a former member of the Humphrey-Weidman Company, coaches Sarita Smith-Childs in Doris Humphrey's Two ecstatic themes, a solo in two parts comprised of Circular descent and Pointed ascent. Stodelle explains her understanding of the double solo and prevides historical context for the work. Segments of the practice sessions are preceded by video clips showing the choreography in performance. A full performance of the work concludes the tape.
