摘要:A Scientist's Tools for Business is intended to illustrate and explain the connections between everyday business problems and tools and modes of thought of the scientist, and it hopes to make accessible to a wide audience some of the approaches that scientists have found to be indispensable. Among these tools are the scientist's use of mathematical reasoning without becoming bogged down in detailed mathematics, and scientific metaphors used to explain complex ideas. Both of these methods (and many others examined) can be very powerful weapons in a manager's problem-solving arsenal.
