摘要:A comprehensive study of bank loan failures during the Florida land boom of the mid-1920s. Using previously sealed bank records, Vickers demonstrates that virtually every bank failure in Florida during the 1920s involved insider abuse, conscious conspiracy to defraud, or both. The ominous parallel with the savings and loan disaster of the 1980s does not go unnoticed.
