摘要:The book describes a self-consistent theory of processes taking place in the subsurface region of the boundary between the electrolyte and a metal or an alloy as a result of their interaction. A model is used to examine anodic dissolution of metals in the whole range of variation of the anodic potential. The principles of the kinetics of formation of the passivating layer and the mechanism of its stationary functioning and disruption of the passive state are described. The theory of nucleation and growth of pits is proposed. Phenomena in the boundary layer in the Tafel region are described. Kinetics effects of mutual effect of its components are explained on the basis of particle interactions.
