  • 摘要: The oppressed yet highly sexualized woman of the Muslim harem is arguably the pivotal figure of Western orientalism. Yet, as Reina Lewis demonstrates, while orientalist thinking has recently been challenged, Western understandings of Middle Eastern culture remain limited.
