摘要:According to the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) there are an estimated 18 million youth soccer participants and a half million coaches in the United States today. Most of these half million coaches of youth soccer are parents, very few of whom played soccer as children. As a result, almost all parent coaches start out not knowing the first thing about coaching their children and others. 101 Soccer Drills is designed to provide a solid foundation for all coaches and/or parents, independent of their experience in youth soccer. Written with simple step-by-step guidance, it prepares the beginning coachand/or inexperienced soccer parent, assists and refreshes experienced coaches, and provides the basic skill building fundamentals as well as advanced techniques needed to compete in youth soccer today. These 101 drills and exercises are not all original, but are the result of over 25 years of experience in coaching youth soccer. The author has specifically chosen those drills he found to be the most effective in developing the molst vital skills. The author's diagrams are simplistic and are designed to be that way.; The parent or coach can pick up this book and see precisely how to execute each drill, learn what the drill accomplishes, and refer to a simple illustration to support and enhance the written portion of the drill or action.
