摘要:Four famous documentary films produced to promote FDR's New Deal policies dramatizing the common people's struggle to survive the disasters of the economic & ecological depression of the 30's. The first describes the history of the Mississippi River. The second tells the story of how overcultivation of the Great Plains resulted in the Dust Bowl. The third shows the experimental "Rural Community" sponsored by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. The fourth portrays a farm family in Pennsylvania before & after electrification of their farm.
