摘要:Ernestine Stodelle, a former dancer with the Doris Humphrey Concert Group and the Humphrey-Weidman Company, describes basic principles of Humphrey technique, including falls, turns, breath rhythm, successional flow, leaps, circular swings, and leverage. Her discussion is illustrated by still photographs by Barbara Morgan, b&w archival footage of Humphrey and members of her company, reconstructions of Humphrey's works, and contemporary choreography utilizing Humphrey technique.
