摘要:Ernestine Stodelle, a former member of the Humphrey-Weidman Company, coaches students in Doris Humphrey's Water study (1928, as reconstructed by Ernestine Stodelle and Eleanor King in 1976), which is performed without musical accompaniment. Analyzing the choreography section by section, she clarifies and refines its details, with attention to shape, timing, dynamics, and motivation. Each section is preceded by a video clip depicting the choreography in performance, and key concepts are identified in subtitles. Finished with a full performance of the work.
