• 摘要: The PrixdeRome.nl 2011 publication presents individual portraits of ten talented young artists who are participating in the Prix de Rome 2011, with special consideration for the four finalists. All the artists are age 35 years or under and were selected by an independent jury of international professionals, comprised of the visual artists Sung Hwan Kim, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Silke Otto-Knapp, Pedro Cabrita Reis and curator and author Adam Szymczyk. The shortlisted artists are Gwenneth Boelens, Mark Boulos, Priscila Fernandes, Ben Pointecker, Petra Stavast, Pilvi Takala, Edward Clydesdale Thomson, Vincent Vulsma, Guido van der Werve and Katarina Zdjelar. Previous laureates include artists - then still relatively unknown - such as Jan Sluijters (1904), Joep van Lieshout (1992), Alicia Framis (1997), Viviane Sassen (2007) and Nicoline van Harskamp (2009).
