When Professor Eisner expanded his 1980 John Dewey Lecture into Cognition and Curriculum, the result was hailed as having the potential to "shake up the educational decision makers as Dewey's Experience and Education did." Now, as the back-to-basics curriculum and standardized modes of evaluation are again finding favour, Eisner has chosen to revisit this work. The result is a substantially revised edition with two entirely new chapters.
